мне очень нравится идиома "to be short and sweet", есть еще такая наша университетская модификация: "as short as my skirt, as sweet as my smile",
а вот еще с университетской жизни на вопрос преподов "How're you doing?", любимым ответом было: "Still doing" or "Surviving" :)))
